Inspiring
by the precious soap of: Nicole Benitez, and accidentally, we have discovered a
new technology for work with swirl, we´ll call it " hidden whirlpools
" or " secret swirl ". We put this name because the whirlpools
are inside the soap, you do the whirlpools without seeing them, and do not know
how they will be until you cut the soap, this is always a surprise. It is done
by three vertical caps, and is indispensable to use the " technology of
the hanger ", to cut the drawing horizontally.
The recipe that I have used to realize this
soap is very good to do the whirlpools:
Olive oil
478 gr
Oil of coconut 144 gr.
Lard of karité 79 gr.
Oil of palm 79 gr.
Oil of almonds 40 gr.
Sodium
hydroxide 106 gr.
Distilled
water 273 gr.
First, we
mix the water with the lye and when it is undone the lye it is added to the
oils. We beat up to reaching the trace, add the essences. Later we separate the
mass of soap in three parts and add the colourings, in this case a white part,
yellow other one and a part with minor quantity in blue.
The mold that we will use we have put in the middle and a
piece of cardboard lengthwise few millimeters longer than the mold to hold it
well and do not move when you add the soap. Now add the soap white and yellow,
while, each one hand, when we finished, we took the cardboard slowly upward.
This will prevent mixing and now we want the two colors separated.
It's time to add the third color. I chose a deep blue tone, that contrasts well with the other two. We climbed right hand and add the color blue, trying to fall on the line that separates the two colors throughout it. Pour from a high level so we ensure that the liquid does not remain only on the surface and penetrates well in the total now we can only make the swirls.
Then we need to introduce a shaped coathanger near the top on the one side and make designs in eight forwards and backwards while gently lowering the rack, once only, without mixing long before the design is beautiful and finally lift the coathanger out gently from the middle.
Now we have to wait to cut it and see the picture in the soap, it's always a surprise because until you cut it, you can not know how it will be the swirl.
